Pet Portraits and Commissions

Kat Turner Fine Art is open for commissioned Pet Portraits! Prices vary based on specifics. Below is a general price list to give you some idea, based on size and medium, but we’ll have to work out all the details individually.

First step, contact me! I can be reached via e-mail (kattyannekasha@gmail.com), or by DM on Instagram (katturnerfineart) or Facebook (Kat Turner Fine Art). I’ll ask you questions about your pet. If possible, I’d love to meet them to take some pictures and get to know their personality. If that’s not possible, I can work from any photos you have. Anything you can tell me about your critter will be helpful. If your pet has a favorite toy or blanket or spot in the house, we can incorporate that into the picture, too! Next, we’ll talk about the medium and layout, and I’ll do a rough (ruff!) sketch or two. Once we’re in agreement, I’ll ask for a deposit. That’s when I’ll get to work, and get the finished product to you as soon as possible. (Keep in mind that quality work takes time.)

I don’t just do Pet Portraits! Would you like your grandchildren painted? Your home or vacation spot? Ask me about any custom work you would like done in Pastel, Watercolor, Acrylic, Charcoal, or Graphite. Here are a few examples from my portfolio:

  • These two little guys would ride in the truck together with their owner. They were painted with Soft Pastels on Rives BFK printmaking paper.

  • Maggie

Maggie's noble look shows her loyal nature, but the twinkle in her eye is reminiscent of her playful puppy days. Soft Pastels on UArt paper.

  • Falcon

Can you see the love in his eyes? Falcon's family was his number one priority! Charcoal on Rives BFK printmaking paper.

  • Ringo

Here's Ringo, looking snazzy in his bow tie, with one ear up and one ear down! Charcoal on Rives BFK printmaking paper.

  • Cassidy

Cassidy loves basking in the morning sunlight that pours through the glass back door. His favorite spot! Soft Pastel on UArt paper.

  • Sammi

Sammi stands guard at the threshold, allowing no one to pass unless they pet her first, a routine her family affectionately referred to as "Paying the Troll"
